Erebus

Erebus, the god of darkness, is one of the first gods who appeared from the original chaos. He is the younger brother of Nyx, the night (who is also his wife) and of Gaia, the Earth as well as the elder brother of Tartarus, the underground world and Eros, the universal love. He is also the father of Thanatos and Hypnos and several other gods.

STORY:
It is the first son of chaos. He is married to his sister Nyx, but as a main deity, he can also give birth to a child without the participation of women. Erebus and Nyx formed a happy couple who gave birth to three children: Hemera, day, Aether, celestial light and Epiphron, attention to others, but also to other children like Thanatos, death, and Hypnos, the sleep. Gaia quickly established herself as the one who wanted to rule the world, even though she had little control over her brother Erèbe, let alone her sister Nyx. However, the power did not interest them, they returned to the underground world (of which Erebus was part with Tartar at the time) and remained neutral. When Hades took control of the underworld, like Nyx, Erebus, who has taken affection for the young god and has since considered him as his own son. But when Gigantomachy began, unlike Nyx, Erebus decided to remain neutral.
When the holy wars began, Erebus, not loving war, respected the demand of his "son" and did not intervene in any of them, they withdrew into the night sky of space with Nyx. But he could only note the death of his children and decided to do everything possible to bring them back. It was his influence, and that of Nyx on the other gods, that brought Hades, Thanatos, Hypnos (and Macaria) back to life. Since the signing of the peace agreement, he has once again lived with his family in the underground world.

PERSONALITY:
Contrary to what one might believe, Erebus is not a harmful god, nor a sower of death and chaos, on the contrary! He conceals the weak and the victims in his mists (only those who have a pure heart). He is also a very energetic god, but quieter than Nyx, and of a sincere nature (sometimes a little too much).
He does not really feel any sense towards humans, but he can, at rare moments, grant them protection. Like Nyx, he has a great affection for Hades and loves him as if he were his own son, and he has several times asked him to call him "Father." Therefore, he also loves his "grandchildren". Like all the other gods born of his blood and his wife Nyx, whom he loves more than anything, and his brother Tartare.
Unlike Nyx, he never had any affection for his sister Gaia and was always suspicious of her. He does not feel any feelings towards the Olympians, except Persephone, if not indifference.

PS: When one looks in his eyes, one sees that the darkness. The bottom of her body is made of mist and disappeared in smoke. And his hair twirls independently of the wind.
